Geo Soapstone Keepsake Hearts

Chubbier and fuller than our other soapstone heart products, these vibrant sculptures are the result of carving, polishing, dying, and etching by talented Gusii artisans in western Kenya. Available in an assortment of pink, red and blue, etched with hundreds of small lines. Because these are handcrafted items, each will vary slightly.

Who Made It: Swahili Modern is a fair trade company that works directly with artisans in several African countries including Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda and Zambia. Artisan communities have reliable long-term income sources and it provides vital employment for rural women in particular.
