Who Made It: Meera grew up in India, became a CPA and after traveling around rural India on a trip to visit her family realized that she wanted to help empower women and underprivileged artisans. Many artisans in India lack education or resources to help them get ahead in life, often getting by on only $1 a day. Mira Fair Trade gives artisans long-term sustainability and economic independence through ethical work and fair trade connections so they can improve their quality of life.
