Each mug rug is handcrafted by our skilled rug-knotting artisans, using leftover wool from larger rugs. This practice helps minimize waste and ensures that every bit of wool is put to good use. As with our full-sized rugs, these mug rugs are naturally resistant to stains, thanks to the lanolin in the sheep wool that coats every piece.
Who Made It: We work with over 850 rug-knotting families throughout Pakistan. These artisans, who have limited sustainable outlets for their craft, are paid a fair wage through Bunyaad, allowing them to focus on the quality and creativity that make each piece unique.
