The Sunita Shibori Caftans are made with soft 100% cotton material that is artistically hand tie dyed using the shibori tie dye technique. Women artisans in Western India do the shibori tie dye and the natural fiber material absorbs the colors beautifully. These elegant fair trade caftans feature a drawstring gather at the waist with tassels, and are designed for a comfortable fit. Tiny holes where the shibori tie dye was done are a natural part of this art form, and indicate the authentic handmade quality of this product.
Who Made It: Sevya Handmade gets its name from a Sanskrit word meaning “caring through service”. Sevya works with artisan communities throughout India to combine contemporary designs and styles with traditional, eco-friendly methods of handcraft.
