The art of glass blowing began in Egypt at least in the 3rd Century A.D. based on a poem written on papyrus that describes the technique.

Who Made It: Dandarah aims to empower artisans and sustain traditional crafts by offering unique and ethically sourced handmade products that tell a story of people, lands and traditions. Dandarah works directly with economically and socially marginalized artisans in Egypt, mostly women and minorities, to improve their economic and social conditions by providing employment opportunities, sustainable income and access to international markets.
