Henna Treasure Bell Chime - Llama

The Henna Treasure Bell Collection combines handmade, upcycled iron bells with colorful, intricately hand painted detail. Bell making is a traditional artform passed down for generations in the desert Kutch region of India. The hand painted accents are added with precision, a rich expression of age-old Indian design motifs.

Who Made It: Matr Boomie works with artisans to increase accessibility and sustainable employment in India. They partner with over 1,500 artisans in marginalized communities. Traditionally used by Indian farmers to identify their livestock, each bell is tuned to produce a distinctive chime. Made from recycled metals, artisans in the desert Kutch region manually cut and hammer the metal to hand-shape the bells, then coat them in powdered brass and copper before firing in kilns. Each rustic bell is then tuned to reveal a rich, unique sound like no other bell.
