Artisans crush then melt down broken, discarded glass, and hand blow the molten fragments into beautiful pieces. The mission of COPAVIC serves the local community through their support of worker rights and wages, not to mention their re-purposing of discarded glass.

Who Made It: The cooperative, COPAVIC, formed in 1976 when seventeen artisans came together and reopened a former glass factory in Cantel, Guatemala. Sobremesa by Greenheart is a fair trade lifestyle brand inspired by a gathering of great friends and the lively conversation that accompanies a delicious meal. Made by blending traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic, each handcrafted product is designed to sustain both the environment and the skilled artisans who made it.
