Quilled Birth of Venus, Botticelli - Artist Series

The Birth of Venus is a renowned painting by Italian Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli, created in 1485. The composition portrays the goddess Venus, who symbolizes love and beauty, arriving on land after emerging from the sea. She stands in a scallop shell, symbolizing her likeness to a pearl’s purity and perfection. The painting is celebrated as one of the most iconic and influential works of the Renaissance.

Who Made It: Every quilled card is beautifully handmade by a highly skilled artisan and takes one hour to create. Quilling Card, rooted in Vietnam, has a team of women who have become passionate about the art of quilling. Quilling Card provides a stable, safe work environment with healthcare and food benefits to all the artisans. In 2014, they opened their doors and were able to employ over 100 quillers. Now they operate two workshops with 500 locals in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
