A Kingfisher is said to be the first bird to fly from Noah's ark after the flood, supposedly receiving the orange of the setting sun on its breast and the blue of the sky on its back. It is considered a symbol of peace, promising prosperity and love. The quilled design includes a blue, white and orange kingfisher with a uniquely feather mohawk on its head perched on a branch emerging from the water.

Who Made It: Every quilled card is beautifully handmade by a highly skilled artisan and takes one hour to create. Quilling Card, rooted in Vietnam, has a team of women who have become passionate about the art of quilling. Quilling Card provides a stable, safe work environment with healthcare and food benefits to all the artisans. In 2014, they opened their doors and were able to employ over 100 quillers. Now they operate two workshops with 500 locals in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
