Saint Theodora

Saint Theodora Guerin (1798-1856) was a French nun sent to the relative wilderness of Indiana to help start a school for women. Saint Mary of the Woods College, the school she shepherded into being, is still there today. She was named a saint in 2006 by Pope Benedict.
