Natural 100% cotton table linens are block printed entirely by hand in India, where artisans have been practicing this craft for centuries. Each color or pattern represents a unique block, which is inked and stamped repeatedly to create the traditional patterns.
Your purchase creates income and social reform for hundreds of artisans in Mumbai and other parts of India, as well as funding community improvement projects for their communities.
Who Made It: Since 1976, SERRV International has partnered with artisans in India, providing a long-term trading partnership and interest-free advance payment for our orders. Through sales of their products, over 800 artisans in more than 50 cooperatives and family workshops throughout India receive needed income, interest-free loans, business and computer training, and advances to purchase raw materials. They also receive the support of welfare workers who help provide health clinics and education for children, increase sanitation, and improve living conditions.
